MBTI at work

Type Talk at Work

Have you ever wondered why some people have work habits that completely annoy you?  Are you an organised person who can’t understand how anyone could wait until the last minute to complete a project?  Do you find that you love having abstract, conceptual discussions which other people don’t seem to understand?  Or, are you the reverse?

This book explains how personality types impacts on your work style and that of others at work.  It sheds light on a lot of misunderstandings that happen at work and offers very simple and practical tips on how to overcome these differences.

I’m very much a fan of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and for the uninitiated, this is a very easy read and really quite amusing when you recognise yourself or others in some of the examples.

Sample from the book:

S: “Yes, but, this is what you said…….”

N: “Yes, but, this is what I meant…..”

S: “Yes, but, if that’s what you meant, you should have said it.”

N: “Yes, but, I shouldn’t have to speak the obvious…..”

Does this conversation sound familiar?

Highly recommended.  If you enjoy this book, look out for my other MBTI book reviews.
